I looked at the calendar this morning to see that February was almost over. It doesn’t seem real that we are two months into this year already. I spend a lot of time by myself either working as a delivery driver to typing into this computer. Now, don’t get me wrong I love this time. But it doesn’t give me the opportunity to know if anyone is reading any of this or the basic human interactions common to most people. A delivery driver is like any of the many service people that the public encounter in their daily lives. As most of my fellow Americans do many say “hello how are you” with no expectation of an answer. Nor do the people being asked to want to give an answer. My favorite thing is to wish people a nice day and see the reactions. Sometimes both the customer and I will say wither the same thing or a variation of that sentiment at the same (time have a nice day, have a good day etc.). Most of any conversations are on either the weather or who I work for. Most people are suspicious of any delivery company that isn’t UPS or Fed Ex or USPS. It’s one of the reasons I bought a bunch of signs that cover the car, so people can see I am delivering something to their neighbors (so don’t call the police). Now, most people are both nice and helpful, but some are more suspicious than others. However, it is nice to see when neighbors watch out for each other.
I have a new part in the Magic series for the Order to post very soon. This story sets up a third group that has its own agenda. If I have the time I will also post a new part in Dealing Justice. When I wrote the basic story that I am reworking I did an even crappier job than my usual. Because of this, I need to do a lot of rewriting and reworking. Every minute I spend on it I don’t have for one of the other stories. I also want to get back to Joleen but there is only so much time in a day. With recent problems, I will need to work more hours this coming month, so my writing might just slow down. I am sorry about that, it is what it is. More to come…….
Thank you for your time.
