I wrote a story (part of a story) about the rise of consent laws and how they are being used to regulate legal behavior while doing nothing about the illegal behavior. Masking a real problem with a feel-good way to cover a backside from legal proceedings. It also covers the abuse of power when someone is given control over a large groups rights. I understand that this story could be seen as a dismissal of a real problem. My intention with this story and any that follow is to cover how a problem can be used to create social control while ignoring the actual problem.
Think gun control. Tring to make the legal ownership of a fire arm illegal while doing nothing to stop the criminal from acting like a criminal. Also, the absurdity of some consent laws and contracts on the college campuses today. Making a relationship a partnership like a business. I will post it in the short story section here soon.
Thank you for your time.
