This was a very good day out on the road. I had 40 packages with 37 stops. Those stops were close together. The weather stayed nice the entire trip, and I never got that call asking me to come back for more.
I did see someone almost commit accidental vehicular suicide on 224 on the way home. Part of 224 going through Norton is under construction with the part of the road going east split in two separated by a barricade accept for one part near Barber Road. Going over that part, the two come together with big hard to miss signs saying STAY IN YOUR LANE. Also, there are plenty of signs saying the speed limit is 55 in the construction zone. Despite all this, there are way too many accidents on this part of the road. Norton is using a special camera to catch speeders. They put up these plastic markers, and every one of them was knocked down. Today someone in an SUV or some sort of crossover decided to cross that line and nearly hit the concrete barricade while nearly being struck by a semi that was tailgating them going too fast. I won’t say it was close but about a foot to the right and they would be no more.
I posted the next part of chapter fourteen on the Scarlet Knight. I’m not sure when I will have the next part. Tomorrow is looking iffy with the package count and tomorrow is Thursday which is the one day of the week I have a set payroll to deliver to Brunswick. It must be there by 10:30 am, but the company doesn’t open until 8:00 am so I tailor the trip around that timeline. I shoot to be there by 8:00 am but if I can’t then what I do is just deliver until 9:00 am and just stop and take the payroll there. Also, it’s going to rain again tomorrow. Yeah. If I can, I will work on the story and have something tomorrow but either way, there will be more to come……….
Thank you for your time.
