Warning, a not so short message alert.
I took 42 out of 79 packages today then I went and picked up my mom to do her usual post-pay chores. At home, I made an apple pie, prepped a loaf of frozen doe for baking, made a cranberry/cherry/apple compote, made the green stuff (Watergate salad), cooked some hamburgers and fries (dinner) and sorted out the rest for dinner tomorrow. In the morning well, at midnight I’ll take the turkey out and do the water thaw so I can have it in the over and ready by noon. This is going to be a long night. I plan to take a nap here in a few minutes then wake at midnight and start the fun.
When I have the time, I will work on the story which brings me to the bad news. I’m working Saturday and Sunday. The increased volume in sales and deliveries is forcing us to work weekends for what might be the foreseeable future (or at least Christmas). This will hurt my ability to work on what has become (for me) a complicated story. Wendy’s War timeline is tied into the first two books, so it needs to match (or I’ll never sleep again). Eventually, there will be a three-year stretch where there is no connection and after the events of the second book at least another year where Wendy’s story is on its own. What I want to avoid is doing any more retroactive storytelling adding parts to the first two that don’t match, but after a 12 to 14-hour drive, I just can’t do anything where I have to think. When I do think I’ll work on the story so there will be more to come…………... I just can’t say how much.
Thank you for your time and for us American’s and to anyone thankful for something or someone Happy Thanksgiving.
