Happy New Year, well Happy New Year’s Eve
It’s hard to believe another year has gone by and I’m still where I am. Today was nice and kind of not so nice with the drizzle and rain, but at least it wasn’t snow. Here we are in Northeast Ohio going from December to January with no snow. We had a green and muddy Christmas. It’s hard to complain so for once I won’t. This will be another New Year’s where I go to bed early and sleep in. Who knows maybe to 7 am because I like to live on the wild side. The cold I have been fighting is now in my chest making that whole breathing thing difficult. I’m glad I’m off tomorrow because another day feeling like this while out in the rain and (sort of) cold……. Sorry, I said I wouldn’t complain.
I just posted the last part of chapter nine which will be that last post (not counting this one) for the rest of the year. I ended chapter nine where another chapter started tying the chapter into the timeline (not counting the parts set in the current timeline with Wendy and the others talking about the motel) I am not sure where the storyline picks back up. I’m thinking maybe two weeks after the meeting between Alice and Wendy with the construction starting as well as the return of the hot pink van. I’m going to sleep on it and type whatever comes to me with more to come.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy lives to read my crappy rambling typing in a form close to a story.
And to anyone reading this in the future Happy whatever holiday is the closest
Warning: Guess about the length of this message alert
This was a day full of not getting anything done. I don’t know what happened with today. I got up, made breakfast and type a not very good part of the story, and set up some beans in the crock pot then……... nothing. I sat down staring at the computer and the TV, and soon it was 5:30 and the day were coming to an end. I made this Grands biscuit pizza thing (PDF posted below), and it turned out good. The soup is a 15 bean with ham, celery, onion, red & green bell pepper, and tomatoes. As of posting this, the soup isn’t ready. I’m sitting here trying to find something in my head to type, and I just don’t see anything. The next part will be ready for Sunday, and I will keep this going with more to come……….
Thank you for your time as I use my time to find out what happened to all my time.
Warning: Yet another useless warning alert abut a short message that isn’t all that uncommon
I had 36 packages for 33 stops on a mild, rainy day. It’s hard to believe today is Friday. I had something outside of work to do today, so when I was finished, I wasn’t finished. I didn’t get much or anything, but a paragraph finish on the story, so there’s nothing to post. I plan on getting up early and working on the story, but I also have some more family stuff, but I will have something to post on Saturday. I hope to keep this going and have something (almost) every day with more to come…………
Thank you for your time.
Warning a very short message with a fat man bitching about s kid’s cereal Alert
I yes, I know, but I am going to do it anyway but first. This was yet another nice delivery day. I had 22 packages and 20 stops. With one package that had to be delivered by 10 am but couldn’t be delivered before 8 am I was limited on just how quick the day would go. I finished and came home to work on the story. I published the next part of chapter nine just a short time ago, and hopefully, I can keep this going with a part almost every day.
It’s not fair to set expectations on something that just exists, but I did, and now I regret it. I brought a cereal made to taste like banana pudding with marshmallows and Vanilla wafers, and it was bad. The worst part was the artificial banana taste which was something akin to banana taffy and those banana shaped candies. It was also way too sweet. I won’t mention the name, but I don’t think there is another cereal claiming to be banana pudding. While I won’t be eating this cereal again, there will be more of the story to come………...
Thank you for your time.
I got up and went to work at my usual time, and this happened. Over the last four weeks, I’ve had between 40 to 70 packages a day. Today I had 4. I dragged my feet stopping at the gas station as well as two other stores, but I still got to my first stop by 6 am and my last at 7:30 or so. I did find a Vanilla wafer banana pudding cereal as well as the best thing in the world. The Giant Eagle in Medina on Pearl Road/North Court Road has the Red Label “Hot, Hot, Hot” Jamaica’s Finest Ginger Beer. I tend to fight a cold most of the winter, and the spicy ginger helps. The Giant Eagle near my home in Springfield/Lakemore only sells the white label that while good just isn’t as spicy.
I published the first part of chapter nine around noon and hopefully I will work on the next part today for tomorrow. I have the time I just need the story. The first part almost wrote itself. The Story is going to stay dark for most of this chapter, but I think the next part won’t be that dark with a return of Alice to my writing. With all this extra time I will be able to keep going with more to come……….
Thank you for your time.
Warning a short message alert wishing everyone a Merry Christmas
I hope everyone out there that accidentally found this site (or are here intentionally) a Merry Christmas and sorry about the site. I spent the morning working on chapter nine of Wendy’s War, and I made some progress, but after I started to edit it, I decided not to publish that part until after Christmas. This part is a little dark and nasty. I will publish the story on Wednesday after work. It’s a little longer than my usual part, but I think that helps keep the story flowing. If the slow down happens, then I should have the time to keep this going with less time between days with nothing published and more to come………
Thank you for your time, and now it’s time to take the tree down.
Today didn’t go in any way the way I thought it would go well almost. I thought we might have one of those all-day delivery days with many packages running all day and into the night. What I ended up with was 33 packages going to 29 stops. Two of them were too big for the Kia Soul, so they went with someone else leaving me 28 stops. I could have been done before 10 am, but as usual, there is always a problem. Today’s problem was that a certain large retail store didn’t add any apartment numbers to the packages going to apartments. There were also two packages going to assisted living buildings where the lobbies didn’t open until after 9 am. Eventually, everything was delivered, and I finished around 1 pm. I got home and started my laundry and worked on the story. As of typing this I posted the last part of chapter 8 with a call back to the start of the chapter. Chapter nine will go south of the border to a town just before it was destroyed. The chapter will cover Luis and Jorge’s past as well as a return of a character from an earlier book. With the return to normal, I see more time to work on the story and more to come………
Thank you for your time.
Happy Birthday to my sister, Susan Collins
This last couple of days have been a mix of pain and confusion. My cold got worse making the runny noise a glopping nasty mess stuffing my head giving me a massive headache. Other than that, the last two days off were nice. I went to the store and bought almost everything for Christmas dinner, I sat on my couch and slept on cold medicine and worked on the story. With today did there is just one more day before Christmas and with one delivery day, I don’t know what tomorrow is going to be like. It will be either a short day with little to do or a title wave of last-minute packages taking all day. Either way with the busy tomorrow as well as Christmas day I won’t have anything new for the story until the next day (most likely sometime after that). The story will continue as the route returns to normal (and the slow down after the holiday) with more to come…………
Thank you for your time and patience.
Warning: This message comes across far too hopeful (dare I say happy) for something I would ever type alert.
Today was a dark, gloomy good day. There were only 57 packages today in my route with 11 of them being from Thursday and one of them even older (more on that later). I took as many of the questionable and hard to fine addresses as possible leaving 15 stops for someone else to take and as of typing this I believe someone did. Also, as of typing this I am under the belief that there won’t be any deliveries to the warehouse this weekend. This means I’m off for the next two days. Saturday, I go to the store in the morning for Christmas dinner later I take mom to the store so she can shop. Also, Saturday will be laundry day so I can take Sunday completely off away from the car. A day of no driving. It sounds just so good. I plan to work on the story both days and try to get as far as I can with more to come………
With Christmas deliveries almost over and the eventual slowdown, I should have more time to get back to work on both Wendy’s War and other stories.
Thank you for your time and patience. I hope if you enjoy what I’m typing or at least aren’t insulted too badly.
Warning: This short message actually complains about good weather Alert
What was with today and all the everything going on? I know my cold could have been or was clouding how I saw today, but I don’t know. There was just so many cars on the road today as if everyone took today off to go out and get in my way (because everything is about me). With the good weather coming to an end the road/power lines/tree limb removal crews were also working blocking as many streets as possible. That good weather is turning into rain and possibly snow which will go just so well with my cold. I don’t know when I’ll be getting back to the story. I hope I will be able to take a day or two off after the holiday (or God willing Saturday) and if I can then I’ll use some of that time to sleep……. Also, work on the story including maybe revising the crap part I posted earlier this week with more to come………... God willing
Thank you for your time and patience with my whining and lack of progress.
